Grief Support Resources, Decision Making Framework and Learning Updates
Happy June people!
I hope your loved ones and you are keeping safe amidst the pandemic which does not seem to rest.
It’s our 6th week in lockdown where I am and on a positive note, new cases just 10% now compared to what it was a month ago.
In today’s post, I will share resources to deal with grief, a quick decision-making framework, and my learning updates.
🤍 Never Alone: Resources to cope with grief
As deaths related to covid keep on increasing, a bunch of us realized how unprepared young adults are to deal with the loss of a loved one. Especially in a lockdown when they don’t even get to perform the last rites properly and seek comfort from family and friends.
We decided to create a database of resources for people coping with grief.
You can access it here: www.bitly.com/neveralonegrief
Never alone is our humble initiative to provide solace, even if short-lived, to anyone who is grieving, through shared pieces of content. We aim to offer you a non-intrusive space where you can absorb the loss at your own pace. We hope that through this list you find something that makes you smile, something that makes you feel understood - something that makes you feel like you’re not alone.
Learning to cope with grief is important yet overwhelming. I myself felt unease after going through so many resources and the talk about death. If you find any resources on the website that are not suitable or if you have any recommendations, please reply to this and let me know.
🖋 Learning Quickie
10-10-10 Rule Developed by Suzy Welch - Use this rule to make better decisions
When you have a choice or decision to make, reflect on the consequences in 10 minutes time, 10 months, and 10 years.
Normally, when making decisions under stress we just consider the immediate (10 minutes) impact, and we don’t consider the long-term consequences. With the 10-10-10 Rule, you consider the immediate, mid, and long-term consequences.
For bigger decisions, rather than just doing it in your head, draw a simple chart like the one in the image, and then write down the choice or decision you are considering and reflect on the ramifications in the immediate future, the mid-term and long-term and score them using a smiley, neutral or frowning face!

💻 Learning Updates
In my previous post, I mentioned I will be doing a course on Doodling, learning Airtable, and finishing the Operations Management course by IIM-B.
Updates:
On Day 29 of the 40-day Doodle Course course. Hoping to finish it by mid-June.
Finished The Essential Guide to Airtable Course - https://www.aatt.io/courses/the-essential-guide-to-airtable
The IIM course was extremely boring and slow. I stopped on the 2nd week.
🔖 Books
I created a personal online library to keep track of my readings and share it with others. It’s on Airtable. Check out my list of top non-fictions below:
And here’s another book reflection video I made a while back. It has been a fun experience learning to write a script and recording videos.
That’s it, folks. See you next time!
